Roberto Luciani, is Director of the Faculty ‘Istituto Restauro Roma’ and is one of the most influential Architectural Historian in Italy. He graduated in Architecture and Medieval Archaeology and he took a postgraduate course in Restoration of Monuments, at the University or Rome, and in Architectonic Preservation at the International Centre for the Study of Preservation and the Restoration of Cultural Property. He teaches Sacred History at the University of Ravenna. He is director of the Ministry of National Heritage and Culture. In 2009 he has been appointed “master” by the Ministry of Foreign Affair. He designed and supervised more than two hundred national heritage, archaeological, arthistic and historical garden restorations. He curated symposiums, exhibitions, galleries, competitions and conferences. Editor of various publishing series and magazines, author of 100 books translated and distributed also abroad, published by important publishing houses, including institutional ones; 300 scientific articles published in catalogues, conference proceedings, specialised magazines; 1,000 articles published in daily newspapers, national and foreign printed and online magazines of exclusive artistic interest.
